A new icon for filters ?

We have allready in Krita a tool that paint applying a filter, but in 1.4, the icon was the standard KDE “filter” icon, which is some sort of coffee filter (it’s use, for instance, in konqueror, or kate to filter the list of files), while this icon is well associated to the word “filter”, I have the feeling that it is not adequate for images’s filter.

So, now, we are looking for a better idea. The first idea to come up was a photo filter (it’s also the third result of google-image(“filter”) 🙂 ). But other ideas did come up, and I have made a draft for all of them :

Remember they are just draft, not final artwork, but if you have any comment, I would be glad to hear them (and you can join the discution on the mailing list of krita, kimageshop@kde.org).
